PCG issues rocket debris warning for Northern Luzon waters
Manila, May 26 -- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has warned fisherfolk, small vessel operators, and mariners to avoid certain areas in Northern Luzon waters on Wednesday due to the possible fall of rocket debris from a rocket launch from the People's Republic of China.
In a statement on Tuesday, the PCG said the launch of the Long March 7A rocket is scheduled to occur at Wenchang, Hainan, in China between 12:08 a.m. and 1:12 a.m. Philippine time on May 27.
"The public is strongly advised not to approach or retrieve any suspected rocket debris due to possible hazardous materials," it said.
