Manila, June 9 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will not take action against Department of Health (DOH) officials facing allegations over alleged misuse of public funds for an upgraded airfare to Switzerland unless evidence is presented, Malacanang said on Tuesday.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro made the statement, after a group of health workers asked the Office of the Ombudsman to investigate DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa and Undersecretary Albert Francis Domingo over an alleged "luxury" flight upgrade, which they said caused financial bleeding to the government.

Castro said the President sees no basis at present to reprimand the officials involved.
