Manila, March 10 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. called for stronger global cooperation to advance women's rights and remove barriers limiting opportunities for women and girls.

Marcos made the call during his speech at the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York City.

He said the work of the commission remains vital in addressing the challenges faced by women worldwide.

"Even as we take pride in this progress, we recognize that the journey toward full equality - both in our country and around the world - is far from complete," Marcos said.
