Manila, Sept. 4 -- A Regional Parliamentary Political Party (RPPP) participating in the upcoming Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections (BPE) need at least 2.5 percent of the total votes cast to be able to get at least a seat in the 80-man Bangsamoro Parliament, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Friday.

In a social media post, the poll body noted meeting the 2.5 percent of the total number of votes cast will make RPPPs to be eligible and be part of the 40-seat allocation for Party Representation in the Bangsamoro Parliament.

"Only RPPPs that garnered at least 2.5% of the total valid votes cast for all RPPPs are qualified to participate in the allocation of Party Representation Seats," it said.
