Manila, July 22 -- The local chief executive of Agno, Pangasinan, expressed gratitude and commendation to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for various national government projects in their town.

In a statement on Wednesday, Mayor John Celeste said the town is set to receive PHP10 million from the national government through the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF).

He said the PHP5 million of the total amount will be used to purchase rice for distribution to vulnerable sectors or those in need in the town.

"This is timely for the season," he said regarding the expected weather disturbances that might affect the country in the coming months.
