Pangasinan police assures safety of schools vs threats
MALASIQUI, July 20 -- The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) has assured the safety of schools in the province amid hoax threats.
In a phone interview on Monday, Pangasinan PPO information officer Capt. Aileen Catugas said bomb threats received by some schools were immediately checked and verified.
She said that while most of the threats were hoaxes, they still take them seriously by deploying augmentation forces in schools.
The latest threat was made by a minor who was put under custodial procedure on Sunday afternoon following a cyber investigation, intelligence monitoring and follow-up operations.
