Manila, April 16 -- The Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges is set to proceed with the evaluation of complaints, including those previously filed against senators, once its rules are published, Sen. JV Ejercito said Thursday after securing the required signatures from panel members.
Ejercito, committee chairperson, said the completion of six signatures would allow the rules to be published, a key requirement before the panel can formally act on cases lodged before it.
"The Committee can soon discharge its functions, including the evaluation of complaints and conduct of hearings. We will proceed as soon as the Rules is published," he said.
