Manila, Sept. 16 -- Malacanang on Wednesday urged participants in the planned Sept. 21 rallies to keep their demonstrations peaceful and orderly, stressing that Filipinos have the right to voice their grievances.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. does not prevent or hinder citizens from expressing their views through peaceful assemblies, but appealed to protesters to avoid violence.

"Karapatan ninyo po ang magsalita, karapatan ninyo po ang manawagan, huwag na lang po sana maging marahas (You have the right to speak, you have the right to make calls and appeals, but please do not be violent)," Castro said in a Palace briefing.
