Manila, April 15 -- Malacanang on Wednesday expressed support for the ongoing investigation by the Office of the Ombudsman into 26 members of the House of Representatives allegedly linked to anomalous infrastructure projects.
Speaking to reporters, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro welcomed the Ombudsman's move to investigate the lawmakers for alleged involvement in public infrastructure anomalies.
"Well, trabaho po mismo ng Ombudsman, ng DOJ ang pag-iimbestiga po rito (it is the job of the Ombudsman and the DOJ to investigate this)," Castro said.
She said the probe reflects the government's continued commitment to fight corruption in government.
