Manila, June 8 -- The Philippine Air Force (PAF) on Monday said it has deployed a S-70i "Black Hawk' helicopter to help in the conduct of damage assessment in earthquake-affected Sarangani and other nearby provinces.

"The PAF has deployed one S-70i Black Hawk conducting RDANA(rapid damage assessment and needs analysis) over Sarangani and nearby areas," Air Force spokesperson Col. Ma. Christina Basco said in a message to the Philippine News Agency (PNA).

She added that the aircraft took off from Tactical Operations Group (TOG-11) in Davao Airport for this mission. No other details are available as of this time.
