Manila, March 20 -- The Iloilo provincial agriculture office turned over on Thursday PHP7.9 million worth of warehouse project to the Batad municipal government.

The project, capable of holding about 10,000 sacks of palay at 50 kilograms each, features a milling facility supplied by the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech).

It will complement the nearby rice processing complex donated by the Department of Agriculture through its Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund, along with a drying facility also provided by PhilMech.
