CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Oct. 21 -- Law enforcement agencies on Tuesday seized PHP6.4 million worth of smuggled cigarettes in Misamis Occidental as they also continued their anti-illegal drugs campaign in Northern Mindanao.

In a statement, the Police Regional Office in Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) said joint operatives intercepted a truck carrying smuggled cigarettes at a checkpoint in Tangub City around 3 a.m.

Confiscated items included cigarettes totaling 8,116 reams, broken down as follows: 93 boxes containing 50 reams each; 44 boxes containing 64 reams each; 25 boxes containing 20 reams each; and five boxes containing 30 reams of the Modern brand.
