Manila, Sept. 2 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday announced PHP300 million in assistance to the local government for the repair of Agana Bridge in Barangay San Isidro, Tarlac City, portions of which were swept away by flooding caused by the enhanced southwest monsoon.

Marcos inspected the damaged Agana Bridge and nearby Aquino Bridge, which also sustained damage from the volume and force of floodwaters during recent rains.

A Bailey bridge is being assembled as a temporary crossing for the damaged section of Agana Bridge.
