Manila, May 20 -- More than 30,000 eligible Lalamove partner-drivers are set to receive PHP5,000 each in government assistance during a three-day payout event organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Las Pinas City.

In a news release Wednesday, Lalamove said over 6,000 partner-drivers had already received cash assistance under the DSWD's Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program during the start of the distribution Tuesday.

The company said the payout activity is being coordinated with the assistance of the local government unit, Philippine National Police and traffic enforcement groups to ensure the safety and orderly processing of beneficiaries.
