OPAPRU: 108 foreign observers to monitor BARMM polls
Manila, Sept. 12 -- More than a hundred international observers are set to monitor the parliamentary elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) on Sept. 14.
The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) said on Saturday that 108 foreign nationals representing more than a dozen international organizations and delegations will observe the historic polls.
Peace adviser Secretary Mel Senen Sarmiento said their presence highlights the importance of developments in the region to the international community.
