ILOILO CITY, Oct. 14 -- The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) - Western Visayas will launch its information and education campaign, particularly Panatag Pilipinas 3.0, on Oct. 13 in observance of the 2026 International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDRR), with a focus on strengthening preparedness at home.

OCD - Western Visayas Operations Section Chief Melissa Banias said Friday that this year's observance will highlight the role of families in building disaster resilience.

"We've been advocating that resiliency starts at home. We cannot teach preparedness. We cannot teach resilience to other people without starting it within us, and that includes, of course, our family," Banias said.
