Manila, July 13 -- The number of reported deaths caused by the combined effects of the southwest monsoon (habagat) and Typhoon Inday are now at 20, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said Monday.

OCD information officer Diego Mariano said the reported fatalities, subject to validation, include one in Tubungan, Iloilo; two in Bukidnon (Malaybalay City and Quezon); one in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental; 10 in Malapatan, Sarangani; and six in Calanogas, Lanao del Sur.

The number of reported injured stood at nine: two in Benguet, one in Marinduque, one in Davao Occidental, one in Sarangani, and four in Lanao del Sur.
