NGCP transmission rates up in July
Manila, July 15 -- The overall transmission rate for the July 2026 billing period is up by 0.77 percent to PHP1.4604 per kilowatt hour (kWh) due to the higher ancillary services (AS) rate last June.
In a briefing Wednesday, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) Revenue Management head Julius Ryan Datingaling said AS providers billed higher rates last month, from May's PHP1.4492/kWh.
He clarified that NGCP does not benefit from these upticks.
AS rates are the pass-through power expense for supply from power generators who are AS providers.
Datingaling, on the other hand, said the transmission wheeling rate, or the fee for delivering power through the power grid, went down to PHP0.5058/kWh from last May's PHP0.5607/kWh.
