BACOLOD CITY, July 15 -- Negros Occidental Provincial Legal Officer Alberto Nellas Jr. said on Wednesday his office will file a motion for reconsideration on the decision of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to reinstate then Attorney IV Ernie Magaspag six years after he was dismissed from the service.

In an interview, Nellas said they have 15 days to seek an appeal after receiving a copy of the notice of decision from the CSC central office.

"The next move of the province, as provided for under the 2025 Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service, is to file for motion for reconsideration. We plan to file it within that time frame," he told Capitol reporters.
