Manila, Sept. 10 -- Around 15,000 police personnel are set to be deployed to provide security for the scheduled Sept. 21 rallies in Metro Manila, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said on Thursday.

"We will be deploying more than 15,000 na mga kapulisan natin to ensure na yung mga rallies na mangyayari ay (of our police officers to ensure that the rallies that will take place are) peaceful, although we respect yung kanilang karapatan (their rights) to express themselves," NCRPO officer-in-charge Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano told reporters in an chance interview at the NCRPO headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.
