Manila, June 8 -- Motorists can now safely use the EDSA-Tramo flyover in Pasay City following the completion of repairs on a damaged section of the structure.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said in a social media post late Sunday that repairs to the flyover had been completed, with motorists already passing through the structure over the weekend.

DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon earlier ordered the immediate repair of a protruding portion of the bridge wall to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.

Last month, the DPWH implemented safety measures in the area and promptly began civil works, including the removal of damaged concrete.
