More security personnel deployed in Marikina schools
Manila, June 29 -- Marikina City Mayor Maan Teodoro on Monday said the city will deploy more police and Office of Public Safety and Security (OPSS) personnel and provide metal detectors in public and private schools following recent violent incidents in school campuses in various parts of the country.
Teodoro made the assurance after welcoming 70 newly hired OPSS personnel who will help strengthen public safety efforts across the city.
She said roving police will also be deployed at private schools, in coordination with the Marikina Private Schools Association Inc.
