Manila, Aug. 10 -- The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has submitted to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. the proposed PHP7.2-trillion National Expenditure Program (NEP) for fiscal year 2027, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Monday.

Castro said DBM Secretary Kim de Leon submitted the proposed spending program to Marcos in a meeting in Malacanang

The proposed budget carries the theme "People-Centered Growth for an Inclusive and Resilient Future" and prioritizes education, health, livelihood, national security and community development.

It seeks to maximize the use of public funds by improving government services and expanding opportunities for Filipinos, Castro said.
