Manila, Feb. 26 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday inaugurated the Pag-Abot Processing Center in Liloan, Cebu, a key facility in the government's campaign to move street dwellers off sidewalks and back into stable homes.
The facility, a program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), provides health services, food, clothing, psychosocial support, livelihood assistance, temporary shelter, and family reintegration.
According to the DSWD, more than 600 homeless individuals have been recorded in Cebu.
The Pag-Abot Program aims to help them transition to stable and dignified lives.
