Manila, April 1 -- The stretch of MacArthur Highway in Mabalacat City, Pampanga is ready for travelers, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.
Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon led the inspection of the remaining repair works on the highway on Holy Wednesday, to ensure it is ready and safe for motorists returning to the province this Holy Week.
He went to the stretch of Jasa Road in San Fernando, Pampanga, to remove illegally-parked vehicles and trucks that are causing obstruction on the road.
MacArthur Highway is a busy segment of the national road connecting Clark and NLEX (North Luzon Expressway).
