LTO nabs 11 taxis for colorum, overcharging at NAIA
Manila, Aug. 26 -- The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued Temporary Operator's Permits (TOP) to 11 taxi units for breach of franchise during a joint law enforcement operation at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Complex in Pasay City.
In a statement on Wednesday, LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao said the operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Philippine National Police's Aviation Security Unit (AVSEU) on Tuesday.
The operation targeted taxis involved in colorum operations, overcharging, contracting, and refusal to provide service or transport passengers to their destinations.
