Manila, April 18 -- The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has granted drivers and motorists a reprieve, allowing them to renew their license and car registration without penalty over the next three months, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said on Saturday.
In a news forum in Quezon City, acting Transportation Secretary Giovani Lopez said the DOTr ordered the implementation of a moratorium covering driver's licenses, including student and conductor permits, as well as car registrations set to expire this month, as part of government relief measures.
