Manila, Aug. 13 -- The Land Transportation Office (LTO) arrested 15 fixers in an entrapment operation as part of its intensified campaign against fixing.

In a statement on Thursday, LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao said the operation is part of the agency's continuing effort to stamp out fixing, deception, and other illegal activities, and to ensure that all transactions with the agency are conducted properly, legally, and transparently.

"Hindi bibigyan ng puwang ng LTO ang mga fixer at anumang ilegal na transaksyon (The LTO will not give room to fixers and any illegal transaction)," the agency said.
