Manila, April 22 -- The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has so far distributed over PHP98 million in fuel subsidies to thousands of taxi operators and drivers nationwide.

In a statement on Wednesday, LTFRB Chair Vigor Mendoza II said a huge chunk of the amount was distributed by the LTFRB Central Office, followed by Davao Region, Central Visayas, and Western Visayas.

"Our coordination with the transport service entities involving taxis and the operators is continuous. Regular monitoring is done for real-time intervention in cases of glitches and other concerns," Mendoza said.
