Manila, July 15 -- Localized thunderstorms will bring isolated rain showers to parts of the country, particularly Luzon, on Wednesday, the weather bureau said.

In its 5 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said generally fair weather will prevail over the Visayas and Mindanao, although isolated afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms are possible.

PAGASA said a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), located 1,175 kilometers west-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon, has weakened the southwest monsoon or habagat.
