Manila, April 13 -- Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) Secretary Arsenio Balisacan said on Monday that linking fuel subsidy distribution to the National ID system would address gaps in rollout, ensuring that aid reaches intended transport sector beneficiaries.

"We are working with the implementing agencies, Mr. Chair, especially the DSWD that administers the ayuda. Because what we want to do is to link this ayuda (aid) to the National ID so that we can easily identify the second round, who gets the second round, who and how much," Balisacan said during a Senate Proactive Response and Oversight for Timely and Effective Crisis Strategy (PROTECT) Committee hearing.
