Manila, June 9 -- State-owned Land Bank of the Philippines said Tuesday its branches in South Cotabato and Sarangani are temporarily closed as a precautionary measure following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake.

In an advisory, LandBank said the branches temporarily closed in South Cotabato are Calumping, General Santos Highway, General Santos-Pioneer, and Koronadal Highway.

LandBank said the branches are undergoing safety assessments to ensure the welfare of clients and employees.

The Alabel and Glan branches in Sarangani are also temporarily closed pending the completion of safety inspections.

The bank said all other branches nationwide remain open and operational.
