LAMITAN CITY, July 28 -- The city government released PHP1.7 million in chalk allowance to 700 teachers here, under the Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) School Division of Lamitan, on Tuesday afternoon, demonstrating its continued commitment to strengthening the education sector in the city.

Mayor Roderick Furigay spearheaded the distribution of the 2026 chalk allowance during a simple program at the city's gymnasium.

Each teacher received PHP2,500, representing the first half of the city's annual PHP5,000 chalk allowance.
