Manila, Sept. 16 -- The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is forecast to bring rains over parts of the Visayas and Mindanao, the weather bureau said Wednesday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the ITCZ will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Masbate, Lanao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA warned.

The ITCZ will likewise bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the Visayas and the rest of Mindanao....
