Manila, Sept. 26 -- The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is forecast to bring rains over several parts of the Visayas and Mindanao, the weather bureau said on Saturday.

In a 5 a.m. report, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather specialist Veronica Torres said the ITCZ will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Palawan, and Davao Oriental.

Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains, she warned.
