Manila, Sept. 8 -- The Iloilo Provincial Health Office (IPHO) reported on Tuesday that 111,625 children, or 67.6% of the target, have been vaccinated under the measles-rubella supplemental immunization activity.

IPHO head Maria Socorro Quinon thanked parents and caregivers who brought their children to vaccination centers, saying their participation reflected trust in the campaign to protect children.

"They chose not to listen to fake news, and they chose to support this undertaking," Quinon said.

The Department of Health set a target of 172,360 children aged 6 months to 59 months for the campaign in the province.
