Ilocos schools may opt for Saturday classes, alternative mode - DepEd
Manila, Sept. 16 -- The school divisions' management in Ilocos Region will decide whether Saturday classes or alternative learning modes are sufficient to make up for missed school days caused by the calamities.
This was according to Department of Education (DepEd) Ilocos Region Director Dr. Estela Carino in an interview on Wednesday.
"The schools division superintendent will determine whether make-up classes are needed. The principals also know whether make-up classes are needed, as do the teachers," she said.
She clarified that even with the alternative learning mode, not all schools could implement it because of their circumstances amid the effects of the calamities.
