Manila, Sept. 22 -- The Investment Coordination Committee-Cabinet Committee (ICC-CC) has approved a PHP2.48-billion public-private partnership (PPP) project to overhaul the National Identification (ID) system.

In a statement, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said the Philippine Digital National Identity (PDNI) project, approved on Sept. 9, aims to enhance the National ID system by focusing on its digital infrastructure and services.
