House prosecutors reject VP Sara's 'politicking' claim vs. gov't execs
Manila, July 10 -- Members of the House of Representatives prosecution panel on Friday rejected Vice President Sara Z. Duterte's claim that officials have been consumed by politics, saying the government continues to address economic and public service priorities even as her impeachment trial proceeds before the Senate.
Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon said it was inaccurate to portray the government as preoccupied with politics, citing ongoing efforts to address economic challenges.
The prosecutors were responding to Duterte's call for government officials to stop pursuing political interests and instead focus on peace and order, the economy, and public services.
