House leader dares VP Sara to resign first, set an example
Manila, Sept. 15 -- House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Paolo Ortega V on Tuesday challenged Vice President Sara Z. Duterte to resign first and "set an example" after she demanded that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. step down.
"Mauna na lang muna siguro siya para mabawasan 'yung mga hinaharap niyang problema ngayon (Maybe she should go first to reduce the problems she's facing right now)," he said in a press briefing at the Senate.
Ortega was reacting to Duterte's call for Marcos to resign and the Chief Executive's subsequent response to her criticisms, saying, "You cannot force anyone to love you."
