Manila, Sept. 17 -- The anti-political dynasty drive placed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on the government's priority legislative agenda in December 2025 has gained fresh momentum after the Supreme Court directed Congress to finally enact the law required by the Constitution.

Senator Risa Hontiveros asked the Senate to resume deliberations on Senate Bill 1901 under Committee Report 33, saying much of the legislative work has already been completed and need not restart despite a change in committee leadership.
