Manila, March 27 -- The government is concentrating on immediate measures to ensure a sufficient supply of petroleum products, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said on Friday.
In a media interview in Silang, Cavite, Marcos said discussions to address energy woes continue, emphasizing that the government's immediate focus is on short-term solutions.
The President made the statement when asked if he is considering repealing the Oil Deregulation Law to cushion the impact of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East on the country.
He noted that making amendments to the law would require extensive discussion and cannot be implemented immediately.
