Manila, June 16 -- Senate President Pro Tempore Sherwin Gatchalian on Tuesday urged all senators to attend the June 17 special session called by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., saying the one-day proceedings should be used to act on long-pending measures and key appointments.

Gatchalian said senators from both the majority and minority blocs should take part in the session to help Congress pass urgent bills and tackle Commission on Appointments (CA) matters, including the confirmation of five military generals.
