Manila, March 22 -- Fair weather will prevail over most of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday.
In its 5 a.m. advisory, the weather bureau said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are still possible during severe thunderstorms.
It said the highest heat index of 40C is possible over Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur, Cotabato City, and Maguindanao.
No gale warning was issued over the entire archipelago, it added.
PAGASA also said no low pressure area is being monitored.
