ILOILO CITY, June 19 -- A former policeman and two other high-value individuals (HVIs) yielded 200 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP1.36 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Navais, Mandurriao on Thursday afternoon.

In a report Friday, the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) identified the suspects as alias To Pepit, 60, a former police officer who had been marked as absent without official leave; alias Mark, 37; and alias Noel, 47.

Operatives of Iloilo City Police Station 10 recovered four heat-sealed and three knot-tied transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu.

ICPO Director Col. Wilbert Parilla said the successful operation should serve as a strong warning to those involved in the illegal drug trade.
