Manila, July 9 -- Eligible government employees are expected to receive their 2024 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) within the year, Malacanang said Thursday.

Speaking to reporters, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said funding for the 2024 PBB has been provided under the 2026 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

Citing the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Castro said the bonus could be released earlier, depending on the implementation schedule.

"Inaasahang maipagkakaloob ngayong taon. Baka mas maaga pa. Ang pondo para rito ay nakapaloob sa (The bonus is expected to be released this year, possibly even earlier. The funding for the 2024 PBB is included in the) FY 2026 General Appropriations Act," Castro said.
