Manila, Sept. 25 -- Third seed Alexandra Eala ended her campaign at the Singapore Open Thursday night after absorbing a 6-4, 5-7, 3-6 loss to Tatiana Prozorova in the second round at the OCBC Arena.

The 22-year-old Russian, who pulled off a 5-7, 7-6 (2), 6-2 victory over Belgian Sofia Costoulas after two hours and 51 minutes in the first round, fought hard to beat the world No. 18 Filipino in three hours and nine minutes.

Prozorova, ranked No. 180 in the world, will next face Chinese Xinyu Wang, who prevailed over Taiwanese Joanna Garland, 7-5, 6-4.

Eala, on the other hand, will proceed to Nagoya, Japan for the 20th Asian Games where she's playing in the singles and doubles (with Shaira Hope Rivera).
