Manila, Oct. 19 -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said it will facilitate expedited government support for the USD2 billion investment commitment of American private equity firm I Squared Capital for various energy and infrastructure projects in the Philippines.

The agency said it is actively reviewing the development of the firm's fuel storage, pipeline and cold storage projects to secure appropriate government assistance.

I Squared Capital plans to invest an additional USD1 billion over two to three years, on top of the more than USD1 billion it has already invested in the Philippines, bringing its total commitment to USD2 billion.
