LAOAG CITY, July 21 -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Ilocos Norte on Tuesday reported that its Diskwento (Discount) Caravan this year have generated over PHP5.7 million in sales as of June, reflecting strong consumer participation while providing residents access to quality products at reduced prices.

Dominador Alberto, Consumer Protection Division chief of DTI Ilocos Norte, shared the data on Tuesday during a virtual discussion.

"Of the 13 discount caravans conducted in the province as of June, a total of PHP5,794,801.61 in sales have been recorded, benefiting 32,483 consumers," he said.

At least seven unique participating manufacturers and retailers are participating in the caravan.
