Manila, May 26 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has sent its initial assistance to the local government of Taguig for families and individuals affected by the fire that broke out in Barangay Sta. Ana on Monday afternoon.

"Tayo po ay nakapagpadala ng agarang tulong sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Taguig ngayong umaga ng Martes para sa mga pamilya na lubhang naapektuhan ng sunog sa Barangay Sta. Ana na umabot sa ika-limang alarma kahapon (We have sent initial assistance to the Taguig local government on this Tuesday morning for the families severely affected by the fire that reached the fifth alarm)," Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao of the DSWD's Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) reported Tuesday.
